The eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre at School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is looking for a strategic leader for the eVTOL programme as Principal Research Engineer (Chief Engineer).
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with exceptional credentials to join a vibrant and dynamic research group. The work is carried out at the eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The environment provides excellent training in a highly motivated working environment with state-of-the-art facilities. This is a leadership position and the scope of work includes the following main areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the technical content and timely delivery of the project milestones
Lead in the research, development and engineering of eVTOL across all work packages.
Lead in the engagement and maintaining of partnership with industry.
Creating a communicative and positive working atmosphere.
Preparing presentations and reports for agencies and industrial partners.
Deputy to the PI in all matters related to eVTOL Centre
Lead the entire team including researchers, engineers and PhD/Master/FYP students in their research and engineering deliverables.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent in related fields
At least 10 years of experience in the aerospace sector and have managed a large team of engineers.
Must be resourceful and creative in coming up with original engineering solutions and problem solving
Industrial experience is a must.
Must be familiar with aircraft engineering, fatigue testing and systems integration in general
Knowledge and experience in aircraft certification and manufacturing
Hands-on experience working on aircraft
Good team leader, enthusiastic and good English skills.
Able to perform multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
