Then join us at COWI to take your career to the next level.Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrowWe are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer in our Singapore office to oversee Transportation and Infrastructure projects. Leading the design and engineering teams, you will be responsible for technical delivery, operations and ensuring technical excellence, and to the required quality standards. In addition, you will support project managers and business development and ensure projects deliveries through a thorough understanding of our project model and according to our internal processes.Furthermore, on a day-to-day basis, you will be:

• Supervising, mentoring and developing experienced engineers and technicians within your project teams, working with line managers to maximise training opportunities.
• Responsible for detailed civil and structural design and analysis.
• Ensuring that design, assessments and checking of designs are in accordance with the current standards, codes of practice and best practices.
• Reviewing/checking/approval of designs, assessments and calculations in accordance with quality procedures.
• Liaisoning with clients, attending meetings on site, progress meetings, design review meetings.
• Responsible for coordination of work undertaken by external sub-contractors and design checkers and client management.
• Performing the role of Qualified Person (QP) when necessary.

You also contribute to continuously enhancing our project management knowledge and capabilities.On top of that, you have:

• Master\'s degree in engineering or similar field with 15 or more years of qualified experience as a Structural Engineer in a large or matrix organization with a global context.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering and leading design packages as a technical leader with a proven ability to also develop technical proposals.
• Experience in managing a design team on infrastructure projects within Singapore (considered an asset).
• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Singapore.
• Extensive practice in conceptual and detailed design, whilst ensuring detailed organization, transparent communication, and engaging participation.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills combined with great interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
