We would like to welcome a Principal/Lead Coastal Engineer to join our Water business in Singapore, as part of our commitment to dealing with climate change. Primary Job Responsibilities: Working as part of a national coastal team, you will provide engineering inputs to coastal-related projects for a range of clients. Technical leadership and quality and excellence of project deliverables Technical and professional guidance, support, and development of more junior engineers and technicians Communication with clients and other design team members Inter-discipline and inter-office project planning, delivery, and financial performance Liaison with internal clients to develop relationships across the business, and with external clients where required Business development activities including sales and marketing to develop client relationships, preparation of plans and proposals Operational and design safety, and developing a good safety culture Work within established quality management systems, in particular ensuring compliance with technical governance arrangements To be a successful candidate you shall possess: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil engineering or a coastal/maritime-related discipline from a university recognized by Singapore Professional Engineers Board Registered PE will be an added advantage Proven ability in coastal engineering design and assessment, with practical demonstrable knowledge of successful completion Proven ability to manage projects and preparation of project deliverables, including managing quality, budget, program, and resources Proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with clients and other design team members Be highly motivated and proactive, with a can-do' attitude Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with colleagues and clients A genuine interest in, and passion for coastal engineering and sciences Jacobs.
