Purpose Statement

Designs, builds, and manages big data solution. Develops the data solution architect that helps ingest, process, and analyze data in the way the organization needs it for innovation and analytics purposes. Makes sure those solutions are performing smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to APAC regional senior data science manager, the successful candidate, as a key role in data team, will be responsible for data product and project deliverables which includes:

• Provides technical expertise guidance related to data architecture including data pipeline, data models/schema, data catalog and lineage to data analytics and innovation projects for structural and unstructured data
• Defines and implements data flows through and around digital products.
• Extracts relevant data to solve analytical problems; ensure development teams have the required data.
• Interacts with the business divisions to understand all data requirements to develop business insights and translates them into data structures and data model requirements to partner teams.
• Works closely with partner teams on topics related to data requirements, cleanliness, accuracy etc.
• Tracks data usage and analytics impact on business.
• Monitors market watch.
• Develops sustainable data driven solutions with current new gen data technologies to meet the needs of the organization and business customers.
• Builds data pipeline frameworks to automate high-volume and real-time data delivery for batch and streaming data hub.
• Builds robust, scalable ang agile data products with an eye on the long-term maintenance and support of the application.
• Builds data APIs and data delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for our internal business operations, customers and partners.
• Transforms complex analytical models into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Continuously integrates and ships code into our own premise and cloud production environments.
• Works directly with vendors, internal partner teams and customers to deliver data products and manage product lifecycle in a collaborative and agile environment.
• Establish and implement governance control in data platform to satisfy data security and regulation requirements from internal and external

Key requirements

• This position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, and 5+ years of relevant employment experience
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL, Data Modeling, and Cloud Data Architecture.
• Solid expertise with minimum 3 years' experience in cloud data platform, e.g., AWS and/or Azure, to manage structured and unstructured data in batch or streaming manner.
• Experience with operating cloud data warehouses or data lakes, e.g., Snowflake, Redshift.
• Experience with programming skills for big data technologies such as Python/SQL/Spark.
• Experience in data product management with successful user adoption.
• Experience in end-to-end data engineering, including optimization and performance tuning.
• Must be keen to continue learning
• Working experience and knowledge of project management and stakeholder engagement in a regional capacity, with different cultures and across different time zones
• A self-starter that works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives

• Knowledge and experience of Graph database
• Team lead experience
• Be able to be forward looking and keep an eye on market trends for ideation or adoption in the mid to long term
