Job Description


The Process Engineer is responsible for the achievements of the department, which includes quality assurances, productivity, work improvements, integration of new product transfers, are within the defined processes. He/she is also responsible that machines delivered are of the highest quality within the scope of delivery with the aim of meeting the highest customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Process Control & Product Escalation

  • Collect & interpret metric and quality data
  • Provide quality trend analysis
  • Conduct Process Audits and resolve audit findings
  • Develop and maintain FMEA\'s and Control Plans for assigned processes
  • Support in the troubleshooting & escalation of machine problems and processes
  • Recommend solutions to such problems and implement solutions after review
Product & Process Development
  • Work with R&D on both product actualization (PAG) and product sustaining (PSG) completing the manufacturing related sections such as DFM, ECP, work Instructions, customer/internal defects, etc
  • Develop work procedures, process flow diagrams and jigs & equipment for new products
  • Determine critical process metrics that can be monitored on a regular basis
  • Work with the Product Managers to develop the Scope of Delivery that covers the implementation of Statistical Process Controls for assigned production processes
  • Complete General Process Change control documents when implementing process changes on assigned production processes
  • Ensure that safety and process hazard reviews are conducted for new product releases
Process Improvements
  • Explore and propose new production procedures and areas to automate, improve, and/or scale-up existing processes. Utilize the General Process Change control system implements changes, providing progress reports and financial evaluations
  • Validate operational variance (including VSM optimization, infrastructure changes, automation deployment, etc) impacting product processes
  • Run test programs to identify key variables for process optimization using sound Continuous Improvement techniques (such as ANOVA, DOE). Collect and analyze these data from acceptance tests. Develop conclusions and recommendations for process improvement(s)
Project Support
  • Support all SCM centric projects including inter-plant product transfer (e.g. dual site build capability)
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical engineering
  • Proficient in English
  • Preferably 1 - 2 years\' experience in machine manufacturing environment
  • Preferably 1 year experience in manufacturing/production process engineering
  • Strong production and process background
  • Strong SMT industry knowledge
  • Experience in leading a small team would be a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Independent, highly initiative and keen to learn
