Job Description


:

This Role will be responsible for Managing all things related to

  • Process setup and further process improvement.
  • Ensure new facilities achieve highest productivity by measuring OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of every equipment together with Preventive Maintenance Manager
  • Quality Assurance Setup
  • Production Planning and Ordering Setup
  • Development Training Manual for Team and Line Leader
  • Procurement and dispatching of goods and raw materials for the newly created CPU
He/She will collaborate very closely with his/her peers overseeing the production for 3 main area
  • Food & Veg Production
  • Seafood Production
  • Meat Production
Where he/she will lead and responsible for setting direction and managing staff with regards.

In addition to Managing the BAU the respective team will also focus on providing clarity with regards to
  • Operation KPI - Fulfillment on time, Yield / Shrinkage and cost of unit transformation
  • Continuous improvement work relating to Process, system, data etc
  • Assist in tracking Financial targets / KPI (P/L ownership for operations) and relevant gaps relating to KPI and other operation matters
The immediate focus in addition to overseeing the BAU will be to handle the transition to the new facility, requiring the onboarding and training of new staff but also to assist in developing and implementing new processes in coordination with the manager for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement
  • Work closely with CPU lead on transfer of existing production line to New CPU
  • Facilitate workshops to drive projects related to improving quality and processes and to coach stakeholders on know-how to meet project goals.
  • Work closely with the operations, preventive maintenance, training and quality assurance departments to develop, implement and continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure a high level of operational efficiencies within the CPU.
  • Regularly review and update existing processes, standards and procedures to align with industry regulations, customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Prepare reports on compliance, quality metrics and improvement initiatives for management review.
  • Convert R&D trial to production batch run.
Quality Assurance
  • Lead the development and training of the QA department to better focus on processes control, documentation and audits.
  • Accountable for the performance and duties (raw material, process, daily hygiene and cleanliness check) of the QA department and assist with support and advice when needed.
  • Oversee the management of Quality and Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with local standards and legislation. Ensure that all new regulations are quickly and accurately implemented in the CPU.
  • Establish / review HACCP plans for all existing and new products. Ensure management of HACCP records and checklists are well-maintained.
  • Develop SOP, GMP & GHP. Conduct training to CPU staff on food safety and best practices at work.
  • Ensure process verification and validation conducted i.e. SOP / Machinery / CCP, new product launch process observation, machinery cleanliness check via ATP swab, monthly facilities check, traceability exercise, FG shelf-life.
  • Ensure investigations conducted and reports submitted on time (process non-compliance / customers \' complaints. Ensure corrective and preventive measures are closely monitored and follow-up to check for effectiveness.
  • Ensure off-specs raw material (if any) are flagged and tracked; corrective and preventive measures provided by suppliers are closely monitored to ensure no recurrence.
Production Planning
  • Support and manage production planning to meet delivery schedules or other deliverables.
  • Collaborate well with all stakeholders to ensure assurance of supply.
  • Coach and guide all planners to be well-versed and familiar with all production processes to ensure all lines within the CPU are well-optimized.
  • Review daily Staff deployment for all production lines within the CPU.
  • Share daily tracking of missed delivery with all stakeholders for better forecasting and purchase planning.
  • Ensure good inventory management to prevent under / overstocking of packaging, consumables etc.
  • Review root causes for planning failure and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree or equivalent in preferably: Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Food Science or other relevant field with food industry experience.
RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience in setting up best practices within a central kitchen or food production facility.
  • Experience in leading and/or overseeing production in a Food manufacturing / processing plant is required \xe2\x80\x93 seafood / meat processing is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety management systems and quality control procedures/standards.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive operational improvements.
  • Possess good organization and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt will be an added advantage.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
