About the Role

As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring process units safely and efficiently in accordance with Standard Operating Plans, Daily Operating Instructions, Standing Instructions, and HSSE procedures. You will play a key role in maintaining plant integrity, supporting maintenance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement and digitalization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Operate process units within the Production Area according to design and integrity operating windows. Conduct structured rounds (DCS Panel/Field) and take corrective actions to ensure safe and stable operations. Respond to plant upsets, abnormal conditions, and emergencies, including troubleshooting and follow-up actions. Support daily maintenance coordination, equipment shutdowns/start-ups, and update operational procedures/job packs. Perform duties as an

Authorized Gas Tester (AGT)

, including gas testing, zero energy checks, and safe work permit issuance. Conduct sampling, basic laboratory tests, and maintain accurate process material and operational records. Ensure thorough shift handovers and good housekeeping practices. Participate in minor maintenance and serve as an

Auxiliary Fire Fighter

during emergency situations, if assigned. Leverage emerging technologies: Operate robotic/automation tools for inspections and plant surveillance.

Use digital tools for KPI monitoring, data logging, and reporting.

Requirements

Nitec/Higher Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical & Green Technology / Clean Energy. Candidates with relevant working experience in chemical processing, oil refining, or utilities (e.g., steam boilers, cogeneration) are welcome. Ability to operate DCS independently will be considered an advantage. WSQ workplace safety and health qualifications for process plants/manufacturing sites. Mandatory HSSE competencies, including

ACSSEW (Confined Space Safety Assessor)

Additional Information

This role is based at our sites in Pulau Bukom or Jurong Island. The salary range stated is inclusive of basic pay and shift allowance (where applicable).
