Job Overview

  • The Procurement Analyst is a key member of the Procurement Excellence team and will be responsible for providing timely support to Procurement and cross functional colleagues in the Asia Pacific region to achieve Amcor\'s Procure Plus goals.
  • This specific analyst will start off by supporting the data requests, data analysis and project / program management for the indirect category campaigns launched as a part of P+ 2.0
  • Eventually (after campaign phase is completed) the role will work with the Procurement category teams, cross functional stakeholders and/or external vendors to develop sourcing strategies and saving opportunities, provide analytical support to inform business decisions and develop and maintain procurement reports and performance metrics.
  • The Procurement Analyst will work with stakeholders across the Amcor business from plant regional and Global levels, with primary focus in the Asia-Pac region.
Principal Accountabilities
Campaigns Support
  • Provide analysis and project management support for the Asia Pac region for the Indirect campaign covering various subcategories as a part of P+ 2.0
  • Key responsibilities would include analysing external and internal data to generate business intelligence that can be used to optimize decision making, strategy development and identify new opportunities.
  • Support category teams (i.e., particular indirect) from Asia Pac and/or Global to provide opportunity assessments and benchmarking to develop sourcing strategies and saving opportunities.
  • Work with Procurement and Cross-functional stakeholders including Senior Leadership Team to identify opportunities in to enhance savings, compliance and working capital.
Business Process Improvement
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in the region and Global to identify new opportunities for process automation to support improved business decision making.
  • Support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives to improve Procurement ways of working across areas such as Supplier Relationship Management or Contract Management.
Procurement Analysis and Reporting
  • Gather and analyse key procurement metrics using data collection techniques to complete Monthly Management Report (MMR), Raw Material Passthrough Report (RMPT) and other reports (QBR, Steerco etc.) as required. Identify opportunities (e.g., automation opportunities or improvements in data analysis or reporting).
  • Extract, analyse and report procurement spend and savings data and other key performance metrics (e.g., sustainability, DIFOTIS, Finance etc).
  • Support Procurement leadership and co-workers in data requests. Establish and maintain communication channels with leadership, key team members, and internal business units for data gathering/analysis and to support their business requirements
  • Extract data from ERP systems, analysis, modelling tool input and output analysis/reporting. Understand the nature of businesses and make the business case using data analyses. Support review and assessment of efficiencies within businesses, identifying opportunities and providing improvement recommendations
  • Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
Job Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Supply Chain, Consulting, Operations or preferably Procurement.
  • Working knowledge of Procurement business processes and exhibiting functional knowledge of tools, processes and techniques related to procurement systems and methodologies is desirable.
  • Ability to efficiently manage large amounts of data, synthesise into meaningful output and make recommendations based on insights gathered from the data.
  • Regional experience in Asia preferred.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Relevant experience in an upstream or downstream company with a mature procurement function is a good to have.
Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in leveraging other data or BI tools such as but not limited to SQL, Tableau or Python are a nice to have.
  • Ability to be able to communicate to effectively with technical and business stakeholders across the business.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be able to work in cross cultural teams.
  • Technical knowledge of Procurement is desirable.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Industry or similar is desirable.
  • Strong work ethic.
