Job Description

• Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order for Superintendents to review and determine the best offer among potential suppliers.
• Verify suppliers\' invoices against quotations and keeping track of vessels\' total expenditure against approved budgets.
• Verifies item received with items ordered; liaise and resolve with suppliers for mismatch item
• Monitor vessels\' movements, liaising with suppliers, masters and agents to ensure that supplies are delivered on board timely.
• Responsible for accurate record keeping, follow-up and filing of all stores and spares purchased for vessels.
• Actively follow up on vessels\' defect reports, arrangement of third party service vendors and docking issues etc.
• Coordinate closely with Technical Superintendent and shipboard officers.

Co-ordinate with vessels on various technical matters as instructed by the Superintendents. * Maintain and update vessels\' technical certificates and arrangement of renewals whenever required.

• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by Technical Superintendents and or Technical Manager.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in business administration, or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of marine purchasing experience
• Familiar with vessel records and certificates is added advantage
