Job Description

Address: PioneerWorking day: Monday - FridayWorking Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm:

• Ability to negotiate for strategic partnership on support and pricing.
• Source for office/manufacturing related raw materials/services quotes and knowledgeable in recommending similar type of materials/grades/composites.
• Input and release PO to suppliers/vendors promptly.
• Work with QA team for incoming specification to ensure PO is meeting the requirements needed.
• Work with Planning team to avoid costly urgent and sudden shortage/ramp up of raw materials as well as urgent follow-up with vendors on critical parts required.
• Follow up closely for all acknowledgements and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate between Warehouse and Production Departments.
• Manage and update prices in system.
• Manage suppliers and their OTD performances (both delivery and quality) to ensure uninterrupted supply to production.
• Optimize the purchasing volume to avoid additional premium / handling cost.
• Monitor any potential slow-moving stock which may lead to obsolescence and maintain optimal level of inventory according to usage demand.
• Implement and monitor cost saving measurements with suppliers/vendors, source for alternate suppliers and cost reduction program.
• Establish and negotiate for reliable and effective freight cost
• Generate monthly report and analysis.

Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma or higher.
• Preferably with Certificate in Purchasing and Negotiation.
• Minimum 5 years purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding in ERP/MRP/SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Purchasing & Negotiation skills. Analytical mind.
• Initiative, honest, meticulous, team player and positive.
