Purpose
1. To ensure alignment of Divisional Procurement strategy & processes to the Group Procurement Policies & Authorities
2. To ensure effective governance and transparency of operations
3. To maximize value creation & optimize total cost of ownership
4. To ensure a stable and competitive supplier base
5. To adopt best in class procurement systems and processes
2. Oversee the procurement process arising from Group wide purchase requisition.
3. Conduct tenders in accordance to Division SOP/GPPA and make recommendations to Tender Committee
4. Understanding and influencing sourcing project / business requirements. Identify opportunities that focus on cost reductions, efficiencies/quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry and supply trends and shifts in technology
5. Define Procurement / Contracting strategy with business
6. Supplier Classification, Relationship Management and contract management
7. Proactively work with Stakeholders and assist in or directly manage spend
8. Know, understand and stay abreast of industry trends, benchmarks, best practices, etc.
9. Monitor Strategic/key Suppliers to provide internal notifications and develop risk mitigation scenarios
10. Analyze past and future demand volumes, inventory trends and current inventory levels
11. Drive best practices and reductions in Total Cost of Ownership (i.e. supply programs, catalogs) at a regional/local level
Education / Professional Qualification
Degree in Supply Chain/ Chemical Engineering/ Business Mgmt/ any related field
Professional Experience
brief experience in any supply chain management namely Procurement, Logistics Management or Purchasing
