Job Description
- Position :Procurement or Purchasing Officer (Marine/Shipping/Port)
- Location: Near Jurong East MRT
- Working hours: 5 days (Monday- Friday 9.00am-6.00pm)
- Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6200 + Bonus
- Duration: Permanent
- Industry: Marine and Offshore Engineering
- Handle purchasing quality port equipment, parts and services at the most competitive prices and ensuring their timely delivery according to project requirements.
- Responsible for streamlining the cost of procurement and ensuring procurement documentation is properly compiled and utilized.
- Oversees the company\'s procurement and logistics activities that include price negotiation, issuance of purchase order, order tracking, management and maintaining inventory of equipment and material.
Diploma/Degree in Business Administration / Procurement / Supply Chain Management or equivalent * Technical awareness in port equipment is a priority
- 2-3 years work experience in purchasing and knowledge in supply chain and logistics is an advantage
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients who can converse in Mandarin only.
