They give utmost importance to the safety of our employees & contractors.About the role: The role of a Procurement is the procurement and contract management of equipment and construction services for projects in all technologies, at every stage of their lifecycle, and shall manage the overall coordination, procurement planning and execution of the major contracts:To join a fast-growing renewables EPC contractor headquartered out of India but with growing operations in Southeast Asia. He/She will establish an effective supplier network and develop the operations flow for procurement operations from Singapore. Focus on supply chain management of wind, solar and battery storage

  • Develop and align a procurement strategy with organizational goals: Develop and execute a procurement strategy that is consistent with the business goals and strategies of the Company. Besides alignment to the budget and quality, consider other factors as well such as sustainability and green practices.
  • Ensure the procurement plan is cost effective and strive to reduce costs by developing supplier network, supplier selection and contract negotiations. Constantly identifying opportunities for leverage, mitigating supply risks and managing supplier\'s performance while observing the highest level of ethics in every transaction.
  • Establish and enforce procurement policy and procedures
  • Operate group procurement policy, procedures and workflows to effectively and efficiently deliver procurement operations and activities.
  • Be accountable for sourcing, negotiating and managing purchasing contracts, favorable payment terms and conditions, quality of goods and services, and delivery terms.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships
  • Develop diversity in suppliers in terms of numbers, perform supplier qualification process, maintain approved suppliers list and ensure supplies meet the needs of the Company.
  • Establish and develop strong and positive working relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operation and optimal support.
Operations:
  • Ensure material purchased is in accordance to specifications including quality and delivery timeline, match PO with DO & invoice, perform GRN and coordinate with Finance on payment related matters.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and complete database / procurement documentation records that can be used to monitor status and of all orders along with cost history (from system), actual vs budgeted cost, to support costing activities in the tender stage and follow through in the execution phase & enquiries.
  • Prepares and update monthly reports on purchasing activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, key users to resolve operational roadblocks.
  • Ensure proactive and timely communication to meet the needs and requirements of the customers and suppliers.
  • Follow compliance and regulations.
  • Be well versed in regulations and compliance as well as the various laws and requirements governing the procurement process. For example, organizations may have internal policies as well as government requirements around diversity of suppliers to ensure nondiscrimination.
  • Team and ad-hoc projects
  • Train and provide guidance to future teammates within procurement.
  • Manage and drive organizational level and/or procurement led projects and initiatives as and when assigned.
Work Experience:
  • Hands on knowledge in Procure-to- Pay and Source-to-Contract processes. Overall 7-9 years of experience
  • Procurement and contract experience in large/complex multi-million-pound packages ideally within the energy sector
  • Contractual experience in post award contract management including variation order, amendments and claims management.
  • Experience in large/complex/capital sourcing processes from RFI to contract execution including negotiating and contract drafting. Might require some travelling
Education Requirements:
  • Resourceful, independent and possess excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
  • Self-starter, meticulous, highly organized and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective, adaptable and good team player and able to drive and engage stakeholders with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and fluent English proficiency to effectively liaise with stakeholders in the region.
NOTE: Please note we prefer Singapore National for this position.The RoleYou will be responsible for :
  • Spearheading sourcing by identifying and onboarding potential suppliers.
  • Negotiating favourable terms on pricing, payment, delivery lead times and other key areas.
  • Performing ongoing supplier evaluation and improvement.
  • Continuous improvement of sourcing activities by identifying and implementing best practices.
  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies together with cross-functional teams across the organisation.
  • Analysing categories of spend to determine potential opportunities regarding cost optimisation.
  • Management of existing supplier relationships and contracts and renegotiation of supplier contracts where required.
  • Actively searching for alternative sources and solutions of supply.
  • Determining best-in-class processes in order to drive lower cost while improving service levels.
  • Working closely with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Selecting, monitoring and managing performance of vendors.
  • Managing the vendor market for the category and taking full responsibility on contract management and commercial negotiations.
  • Collaborating with category user departments to reduce the procurement cycle time, improve compliance with policies and achieve targets.
  • Leading/participating in contract reviews and negotiations in coordination with the legal teams.
Ideal Profile
  • You have at least 7 years experience ideally as a Buying / Procurement or Sourcing within Electronics, Environment / Renewable Energy / Sustainability and Manufacturing.
  • You possess excellent negotiating skills with a strong ability to influence people of all levels.
  • You have working knowledge of energy
  • You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
  • You are a strong networker & relationship builder
  • You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
  • You are willing to undertake 0-30% travel.
