Job Description

As a producer-presenter, you will be responsible for the audio content of broadcasts via radio, the internet and other mobile platforms. You will be involved in the entire process, from generating ideas to managing the audience response after a programme.

As a producer-presenter, you will work in a team setting of other presenters, producers, engineers, account servicing, and IT staff.

\xe2\x97\x8f generating, researching and preparing interviews for programmes

\xe2\x97\x8f writing and reading news bulletins

\xe2\x97\x8f sourcing potential contributors and booking interviewees

\xe2\x97\x8f attending pre-show briefings

\xe2\x97\x8f attending pre-production briefings with sales staff and clients when necessary

\xe2\x97\x8f undertaking editing, interviewing and reporting duties as necessary

\xe2\x97\x8f presenting programmes for both pre-recorded and LIVE output

\xe2\x97\x8f checking that copyrights are cleared and understanding media law

\xe2\x97\x8f converting text, graphics, video and audio files into other formats

\xe2\x97\x8f contributing to, and making use of an archive of audio resources which can be re-used

\xe2\x97\x8f responding to audience feedback, referring on to other departments as necessary

\xe2\x97\x8f producing and making use of user-generated content

Job Requirements

• A recognised tertiary academic background
• Excellent communication and written skills
• A highly organised and creative individual
• Highly committed and passionate individual who enjoys working in a radio production environment
• Prior experience with/ sound knowledge of the financial markets
• Have a keen interest in Business and Finance news
• Familiar with audio editing software such as Audacity
