SC Ventures is looking for individuals interested in using innovative new products and modern technologies to deliver world class digital experiences for our clients and customers.


We are seeking talented and motivated individuals for the role of Product Designer. The role is responsible for leading all UX initiatives to help develop new ideas and innovation projects into user-centered solutions, in order to maximize adoption and success.
This individual must be well-versed in human-centered design, has a good eye for details, a strong sense of design, and keeps up to date with the latest trends in design and technology. The ideal candidate should also have experience doing end-to-end UX and is familiar with the agile methodology. Some working experience in the finance/payments industry and/or start-ups is preferred. This person should also possess a can-do attitude, is comfortable taking initiatives, and is confident bringing their ideas and expertise to the table.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead all UX efforts necessary for the success of a new idea/innovation project including user research, creating personas, establishing customer journeys and user flows, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, high-fidelity prototyping, user testing and validation, and implementation
• Assist entrepreneur teams in developing their ideas from the initial problem statement through to defining features and finally an MVP to present to stakeholders, as well as any other collaterals they might need along the way including presentations and pitch decks
• Work in an iterative manner rooted in user validation and feedback to build products with a high chance of success
• Communicate often and effectively with various stakeholders to facilitate a smooth collaboration and make sure the project stays on track
• Organize and lead UX workshops as needed based on the specific requirements of each project

Qualifications and Skills:

• Recent portfolio demonstrating a thorough understanding of UX processes and user-centered design
• 5+ years of experience as a UX designer that has successfully shipped mobile and web products, with at least 2 years of experience doing end-to-end UX
• Expertise in using Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or other similar tools
• Basic knowledge in HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus
• Mindful of designing for accessibility
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring timely delivery of artefacts
• Experience working with a diverse team situated in multiple timezones
• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well under pressure to manage competing demands
• Must be a creative problem-solver with a strong customer focus
• Must be a team-player with the ability to establish high-trust professional relationships quickly
• Up-to-date with the latest trends in design and technology
• Experience working in the finance/payments industry and/or start-ups a plus

About SC Ventures
SC Ventures ("SCV") was established in 2018 with the purpose of "Rewiring the DNA in Banking" by bringing three
distinct areas together:
- The eXellerator Lab, enabling innovation at large in the Bank by supporting intrapreneurs and their ideas, collaborating
with fintech's through the SCV Fintech Bridge and engaging with clients and co-creation ideas.
- The Investment Fund ("Fund"), tasked to acquire minority stakes in fintech companies ("fintechs") whose
technology has been successfully validated in the Group.
- Venture building, with the objective of exploring new business models ("ventures"), in the way it engages existing new
customers and markets
There are c.65 team members (excluding individual ventures), including dedicated colleagues from the Group's support
functions, based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Nairobi, London and San Francisco.
