Summary: Product Manager to lead Customer Centric Risk Management around KYC Compliance and also focus of Operations Efficiency : PayPal is the world's leader in online payments processing. Responsibilities Compliance Platform fuels the trust and confidence consumers, and merchants have in PayPal's expanding value proposition, and it is a powerful competitive advantage for PayPal. Through a combination of in-depth subject matter expertise, global research capabilities and flexible platform and technology tools, the Compliance Platform helps PayPal meet regulatory obligations and prevent financial crimes Platform Define and drive the next generation Compliance Platform required to support growing needs of PayPal Own the Compliance Platform Product Strategy and associated product roadmap, including stakeholder coordination, business requirements development and prioritization assessment Define and build the Platform with product development and architecture and lead the evolution of our existing tools and systems, making incremental improvements along the way while developing the roadmap to reimagine those systems. Develop, monitor, and report on a suite of KPIs / KRIs for various internal forums including Executive Leadership for both financial and regulatory compliance Proactively identify process gaps, roadblocks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies that will negatively impact compliance platform efforts and mitigate them Have a keen interest in being hands-on on higher level tasks (design, analysis) Readiness to be in our users' shoes - be the level one user of Platform and capabilities Create use cases and product requirement documents to articulate desired service features and functionality to the user experience and technology teams for both tactical project delivery and long-term strategic direction of Compliance service capabilities. Gain deep understanding of customer experiences and preferences and funnel the requirements to build a scalable infrastructure than goes beyond channel / device. Integration Be an expert on Compliance regulations, Market Solutions and Compliance Platform within PayPal Understand Integration needs (internal systems and external) assimilate and synthesize the needs of various stakeholders into a common set of platform capabilities and Platform Assess buy vs. build and work with 3rd parties to integrate Compliance Platform on a case-by-case basis Team Leadership Lead by influence, with strong execution skills and focus. Ongoing focus on Compliance business knowledge ability to constantly prioritize and to deal with ambiguity. Lead project teams of engineers and designers to ensure that the product solution delivers to requirements and meets business needs Build deep relationships and create strategic alliances to establish trust with key stakeholders across legal, risk, compliance, engineering, product etc. to accelerate delivery of compliance initiatives Represent compliance needs at the highest levels across the organization and be capable of advocating for and/or defending decisions associated with the defined business case , strategy and execution plans Creates new metrics to measure customer insights as needed. Helps more junior PMs understand key customer insights. Gathers insights about competitor's customers Sought after to help attract, hire and retain talent across product roles. Cultivates talent through career mentorship. Works with product development and quality engineering team leads to consistently manage multiple products to planned milestones with high quality. Effectively plans resourcing based on priorities and constraints Innovate Introduce new products, programs, policies, and procedures to achieve business strategies Source and develop strategic relationships with industry partners and alliances Drives innovative solutions to cross-domain product gaps or misalignment of goals. Requirements You are a creative product mind, an avid problem solver and a highly collaborative team member Highly quantitative, analytical, and business-minded with a data-driven approach to decision making Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Computer Science MBA Preferred 2-3 years of relevant experience in implementing Product Management experience or related field, including technical product management, software development, or analytics. Demonstrated track record managing all aspects of a successful software or technology product throughout its lifecycle, including product strategy development, requirements definition, product marketing You are a self-starter and fast-moving when it comes to putting plans into motion Experience leading diverse teams in a complex, matrixed organization Ability to influence and working hands-on with other cross-functional team leaders, such as lawyers, engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in improving compliance processes and systems Ability to understand and appreciate engineering and analytical solutions. Understanding of web technologies, SOAP, XML, WSDL, Java, relational databases. Experience developing/working with API sets and Platform Knowledge of KYC, AML, or Sanctions technology solutions for Fintech or crypto businesses a strong plus Compliance policy, product, or engineering experience in either RegTech or Fintech companies is preferred Previous Technical Product management a plus
