Role Overview

Purpose

This newly-created, product marketing role is responsible for the creation and management of high-quality sales and marketing content to support Schroders\xe2\x80\x99 efforts to grow our asset management business in all client segments in the APAC region, with a particular focus on the Wealth segment.

A key member in the newly formed Product Marketing team in Schroders\xe2\x80\x99 Client Group, this role will collaborate with key stakeholders across investments, product, sales and marketing, as well as the client segment strategist and segment marketing lead, to create compelling fund narratives and go-to-market materials. Deliverables may include contributing to sales pitch decks, fund collateral, videos, commentaries and website content to support sales conversations and promotions with gatekeepers, fund selectors and retail salespeople in retail banks, private banks and other third party distributors.

In addition this role will be charged with:

  • Linking centrally-produced content, such as insights articles, videos and reports, with local funds and strategies, offering a clear call-to-action for the intermediary and end investors.
  • Coordinating quick-to-market responses to adhoc market events such as market corrections, major industry shifts, company defaults or other events that impact investors\xe2\x80\x99 portfolios or investment decisions with global colleagues.
  • Contributing to educational content for end investors, for example client-friendly educational guides, articles, videos, infographics and other materials we provide to intermediaries to help guide their interactions with end clients.
  • Researching, writing and delivering product collateral to support our sales efforts. Materials may include pitch decks/presentations, sales scripts, fund brochures, website content, videos etc.
  • Researching competitor offerings and utilise client and competitor intelligence to differentiate Schroders\xe2\x80\x99 funds and stand out from the crowd.
  • Attending client meetings with sales team members to better understand client needs and develop tools and materials to meet these needs.
  • Implementing systems to monitor and measure the effectiveness of product collateral and materials.
  • Contributing to the creation and delivery of fund-related events, promotions and campaigns being delivered by the Regional and local marketing teams.
Contributing to the wider business ideation about how Schroders can differentiate itself in the APAC region through top quality product communications.

This role will report into the Product and Content Marketing Lead, APAC and will be part of a cross-functional working group comprising investment directors, sales representatives, product team representatives and other relevant colleagues to leverage investment expertise within the investment teams, as well as insights from sales teams and clients directly to deliver key priorities. This role is also required to work collaboratively with a broad range of local and global stakeholders including fund managers, sales heads, members of the APAC Client Group team and partners in Operations, Legal, Risk and Compliance, as well as global colleagues across Schroders\xe2\x80\x99 APAC and global network (including the London-based Content team and Product Marketing team and client segment virtual teams).

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain key product competitor packs (containing Morningstar data, peer content, competitor matrix with key messages etc.)
  • Build and maintain a key product marketing dashboard containing the 3 key messages summary and supporting evidence for quick review by client teams.
  • Co-lead allocated product project squads to create key product messaging and supporting evidence and channelling this into product collateral.
  • Lead the localisation of assets for local markets.
  • Manage the production of assets and sign-offs.
  • Update and maintain product toolkit content in partnership with investment directors.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in asset management/investment in sales, investment, product or marketing roles. Exposure to more than one of these disciplines is advantageous.
  • Advanced working knowledge of investment markets and asset management strategies is key to success in the role. An understanding of traditional asset classes \xe2\x80\x93 equities, fixed income, multi-asset and private markets such as private equity, real estate and infrastructure debt is preferred.
  • Experience in project managing, content editing, managing stakeholder approvals and coordinating production of fund materials.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral and the ability to explain technical concepts to audiences with different levels of understanding.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to create fund narratives centred on client needs \xe2\x80\x93 both the fund selector and the end client preferred.
  • Experience working in a complex, global business would be highly regarded
Education
  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant business discipline.
