& Requirement

Quality inspection and control in an overseas subsidiary for a Japanese food company.

Checking and inspecting product labels, ingredients and additives, standards, design etc. of the company’s products adheres to conformity of regulation and laws in different countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand etc.)

Frequent interaction with manufacturing contractors and factories is necessary.

Applicant must be able to conduct inspections and checks as well as provide advices to improve when necessary.

(Long term business trips may required.)

Required skill

. Class 3 Driving license

. Proficient in Microsoft Office

. Ability to communicate own ideas clearly to others, skilled in presentation

. Good communication skills to build good relationships and rapport with others

. Experience, knowledge and practical ability in logistics (import, export, trilateral trade)

. Considerable knowledge in Japanese food products and Japanese food culture

. Knowledge in Japanese business rules and manners, as correspondences with Japanese colleagues will be necessary

. Proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N2 and above) and English as it is required to submit reports to Japan HQ regularly. Applicant will be required to attend meetings with staff from Japan HQ so ability to understand business terms in Japanese is also necessary.
