Job Description

• To lead the set-up of the pilot plant and manufacturing facilities through the organization of the project plan, procedures, production area layout and operations

• To be responsible for managing the end-to-end production activities for the range of products through effective use of manpower, material, machine, processes;

• To be responsible and manage the overall production flow to ensure KPI are met;

• To develop and implement the SOPs for all products to be manufactured in strict compliance with food safety and quality requirements, and local regulatory authorities (SFA, NEA, MUIS, MOM, etc.)

• To liaise with OEM or third-party equipment and spare-parts manufacturers to supply quality equipment in a cost effective manner;

• To supervise and schedule preventive maintenance of machines to prevent or reduceequipment breakdowns;

• To support the new product development, manage project planning schedule, timeline;

• To support continuous improvement and innovation of products (via shelf-life extension, improved packaging with added security/tamper proof features, traceability, creation of value-added products, etc) through application of food technology and advanced equipment technology

• To find ways to stay ahead or have competitive edge over competitors, in terms of manufacturing cost, quality or application of environmental friendly and recyclable packaging material;

• To support mid and long-term plans for production; and to constantly explore effective production matrix and provide substantiate contingency plan;

• To liaise and work closely with other departments to solve issues and work effectively;

• To create business opportunities (export) and enhance customer confidence through food safety and quality certifications such as Halal, HACCP, ISO22000 or BRC.

• To prepare monthly and weekly production planning for production operations;

• To ensure procurement of key raw ingredients and packaging materials from reliable and reputable vendors. This includes negotiation of prices, supply and support.

• To ensure all the raw and packaging materials are supplied according to production planning and all materials and finished goods are accurately updated;

• To be responsible and manage the production team with appropriate manpower sourcing, hiring, coaching and deployment, and continuous training;

• To ensure work environment is safe and nurturea work safety mindset for all staff and zero workplace injuries in the plant;

• To source for contract or OEM packers to manufacture in accordance with the quality and standards of the Company.
