Get to know the Team: Grab's Technical Learning - Training team works closely with our internal engineering, product, UX, and data science/AI organizations to develop content, curriculum, and training programs to onboard and continuously supercharge the technical expertise of our Grab Tech teams. Our mission is to empower Tech Grabbers to succeed in their roles by being a center of excellence for innovation through a centralized platform for self-help learning, templates, and guides, developing an engagingly robust Tech onboarding and training experience for future-ready Grabbers. Get to know the Role: As a Program Manager, you play a crucial hands-on role in building a learning culture across the technical families at Grab. In this role, you will plan, develop, and drive execution of tech onboarding and training initiatives that have a tremendous impact on the engineers in the organization. Excited and driven by a passion for helping others grow and succeed, you will plan and execute ways to drive visibility for onboarding and training programs to make learning-on-the-job both fun and effective. You will also play a key role in supporting the Tech Learning - Training team to be a center of excellence for innovation through strong frameworks, guides, and documentation. The Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Work closely with key functions and senior stakeholders to assess strategic learning and development needs, and help define and shape tech learning and development programs.
Tech onboarding and training initiatives
  • Run onboarding and training programs, tracking completion and impact, in order to develop a strong pipeline of talents across the different engineering roles in tech families. Run experiments when needed.
  • Employ innovative, scalable learning initiatives that go beyond the classroom, including e-learning, blended training, technology-based learning such as sandboxes and labs, learning-on-the-job programs, coaching, project-based or simulation learning, etc.
  • Build a world-class Engineering onboarding program by planning and executing initiatives that have multiple-touch points of the employee journey.
  • Work closely with content and curriculum developers on the planning and coordination of various learning initiatives.
3rd party on-demand training
  • Support on-demand training programs that require updates and design training campaigns to make learning more effective and engaging.
  • Manage active membership of our learning platforms and handle subscription renewals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
General responsibilities
  • Use data and create dashboards to inform decisions, track and measure the impact of programs tied to business output.
  • Plan and execute tech training visibility campaigns across the organization, and measure impact of these campaigns.
  • Identify process and overall improvement opportunities and demonstrate problem solving in recommendations.
  • Manage project schedule, identify risk and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders.
  • Responsible for administration on the LMS, including user group managements, creating courses and curriculum structures, assigning learnings, preparing learner reports and providing end user support on technical aspects of the system.
  • Continuous exploration of LMS features and functionalities in order to better execute and manage initiatives across the organization.
  • Regularly explore suitable training programs, tools and platforms in the market, gather training-related feedback from engineers and members of the data community through surveys and 1-1 discussions, and present insights about the learning needs of the organization.
The Must-Haves:
  • Strong experience within L&D, organizational development, employee onboarding, or similar, in designing and delivering high impact programs.
  • Passionate about promoting a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.
  • Strong capabilities to build programs end to end, from the identification of the problem to solve to the measurement of business impact.
  • Able to make key business decisions or provide solid recommendations based on data and analytical thinking.
  • Business acumen and understanding of how organizational structures and dynamics relate to execution.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across various functional teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, project management, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-starter with a start-up attitude – willing to work hard and take initiative to get things done in a highly-ambiguous and a fast paced environment.
  • Outstanding problem-solving ability and a demonstration of enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to learn fast.
  • Conflict management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office – Word, Powerpoint, Excel (automation formulas).
The Nice-to-Haves:
  • Software industry experience.
  • Employee onboarding experience.
  • Data visualization/dashboarding experience including SQL, Tableau, PowerBI etc.
  • Understanding of adult learning concepts and techniques.
  • Instructional design background.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills.
  • Exposure to content development tools like Canva, Stripo etc.
