Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large. THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sick, families, persons with disabilities, and children. We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community. Together, as ONETHK \xe2\x80\x93 Empowering the Community.
DESIGNATION : Programme Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Document and maintain records of clients\' learning and development
\xe2\x80\xa2 Identify new teaching and learning approaches based on observations\xe2\x80\xa2 Implement appropriate teaching and caregiving methods based on emerging sector trends, technologies and tools
  • Implement classroom management strategies
  • Implement developmentally appropriate teaching, learning and caregiving activities aligned to the relevant programme frameworks
\xe2\x80\xa2 Attend to clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs in their activities of daily living\xe2\x80\xa2 Identify areas for improvements for routine caregiving
  • Perform basic and planned care interventions
  • Coordinate activities with families and community stakeholders
  • Engage with caregivers to facilitate the continuity of care and learning between home and Centre
  • Foster relationships with families to facilitate the continuity of care and learning between home and Centre
  • Implement Centre, caregiver and community initiatives and programmes
  • Co-develop appropriate teaching and caregiving methods based on emerging sector trends, technologies and tools
\xe2\x80\xa2 Enhance the learning environment with developmentally appropriate learning materials and resources\xe2\x80\xa2 Identify areas of improvements for caregiver and community initiatives and programmes
  • Participate in professional development and service quality improvement activities
  • Participate in quality improvement audits and activities
  • Maintain inventories and equipment for centre\'s programmes
  • Apply the health, safety and hygiene practices in accordance with standards and procedures
  • Comply with infection prevention and control practices in performing client care activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of classrooms and common centre facilities
  • Demonstrate behaviour that is aligned with the Organisation\'s vision, mission and values
  • Identify areas for personal development to improve work performance

QUALIFICATIONS
  • NITEC or GCE \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99 or \xe2\x80\x98N\xe2\x80\x99 Levels.
  • Experience in training and working with people with special needs will be an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated and good team player committed to thenurturing of adults with autism
