Job Description


Role Responsibilities
The role-holder is accountable to define & drive a set of initiatives under the Credit Transformation program which will help in improving the RoTE for Clients by (a) Defining insights for Credit platforms to improve visibility of RWA, (b) materially improve Credit delivery TAT, with a focus on priority clients.

This will require a deep understanding of the Client Coverage business, with a specific focus on Credit processes & capital computations. The role-holder will need to drive close collaboration with Business, Operations & Transformation teams, taking a holistic look across platforms and processes.

  • Provide leadership and direction to drive initiatives
  • Communicate and raise the awareness & understanding of the insights & tools
  • Provide thought leadership and knowledge to the team on ground on key areas to improve capital efficiency
  • Drive Credit Delivery TAT improvement for priority clients, improving processes & platforms
  • Foster awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic, industry, regulatory challenges, and changes in which the CC business operates
  • Accountable to deliver initiatives in a manner that fosters innovation, enhances client experience, and contributes to the Client Coverage RoTE improvement
Strategy
  • Engage with frontline and external industry stakeholders to ensure all change initiatives remain market aligned and are fit for purpose in delivering the against the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.
Business
  • Bring CC business understanding and acumen to bear in business change initiatives.
  • Identify, design, and deliver initiatives that will contribute to Credit Transformation Program
Processes
  • Drive continuous improvement and effectiveness of CC activities which determine capital calculations
  • Inform the development of end-to-end processes & scalable infrastructure for key business processes.
People & Talent
  • Lead through example and help build the appropriate culture and values across the transformation team
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Risk Management
  • Ensure that initiatives are delivered consistent with the requirements of risk frameworks and in a manner, that ideally improves our operational risk profile.
Governance
  • Ensure that outcomes delivered, including necessary controls are fit for purpose and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s project and change management governance disciplines are adhered with.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the workstreams to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients, Effective Financial Markets, Financial Crime Compliance, The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group\xe2\x80\x99s brand and values in the Credit Transformation Program. Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 15+ years of CCIB experience, specifically within Frontline, Product or Business Management roles
  • Any Diploma or Graduate Degree from a recognized University
  • Detailed understanding of CCIB products, processes & policies, with a specific focus on Credit Risk
  • Detailed understanding of capital requirements & capital computation methodologies
  • Experience leading complex, global initiatives, delivering material business value
  • High proficiency in senior stakeholder management
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
