• 5 days, 9am- 5.30pm * Address: Fort Canning * Salary: $3000 -$3800 Job scope: * Act as a single point of contact for a specific project * Conduct freight rate negotiations with carrie 5 days, 9am- 5.30pm Address: Fort Canning Salary: $3000 -$3800 Job scope: Act as a single point of contact for a specific project Conduct freight rate negotiations with carriers, haulers, freight handlers, overseas offices and agents, for all modes of transportation, to insure price competitiveness and profitability. Ensure cooperation with global, regional, and/or country managers on international projects Cargo assessment to determine the best possible method route to implement in cargo movement Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer. Arrange for trucking and intermodal movements and executing booking. Coordinate between warehouses, truckers, suppliers and overseas offices to assure smooth operations and shipments implementation. Prepares invoices and shipping documents such as export papers, commercial invoices. Checks shipping orders to ensure they are accurate with regards to quantity shipped this is done by comparing shipping documents with computer generated reports. Follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates Book invoices and bill customers after shipment is completed Responsible for receivables, payables, profit sharing, and forecasting for assigned accounts Development and maintenance of strong long-term customer and vendor relationships Establish client specific standing order or SOP for long term projects Become fluent with in-house operating systems, Tracking Systems, AXIS, CRM. Adhere to all company policies in areas of Compliance, HSSE&Q, Code of Business Conduct, Employee Handbook Requirements: Diploma or relevant certificates for supply chain/ logistics management At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in the freight forwarding industry Good knowledge with Incoterm 2010/ 2020 Good knowledge in Shipping ' Land/ LCL/ FCL/ Air freight and Breakbulk
