Job Description


On behalf of one of its clients in the events industry, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Project Director MICE

The company is a turnkey corporate digital & live event management, experiential marketing, augmented/mixed reality and incentive travel agency. We work across a large range of industries including tech, healthcare & medtech, insurance, finance, luxury, fashion, aerospace, hospitality, food and beverage. Our reactive and passionate team produces inspiring events & experiences.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced operational Senior Event Director to execute our Travel events portfolio. The ideal candidate should present a fun, confident, driven, knowledgeable and smart image, be passionate about people and have experience in managing MICE travel related events, Luxury and Lifestyle brands for product launches and activations. An interest in tech and the latest event trends. The role will involve managing event projects from an end-to-end perspective, therefore candidates will need to understand all aspects of event management from initial briefing to pre-event management, to on site production and through to analysing the success of event projects.

Main responsibilities :

Account management

\xe2\x97\x8f Taking a lead in clients\xe2\x80\x99 marketing and advertising strategies

\xe2\x97\x8f Leading a team to provide the utmost level of client service

\xe2\x97\x8f Liaising with clients at a senior level

\xe2\x97\x8f Promoting the expansion of business with existing clients

\xe2\x97\x8f Serve as the point of contact for customers in your portfolio

\xe2\x97\x8f Understand customer requirements and needs to offer suitable solutions and generate new business

\xe2\x97\x8f Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget

\xe2\x97\x8f Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits

\xe2\x97\x8f Using your skills to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically

\xe2\x97\x8f Plan budgets and activities for account management in the company

\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure the timely delivery of services and products to clients

\xe2\x97\x8f Resolve issues to maintain and strengthen customer trust

Leadership and management

\xe2\x97\x8f Attend Management weekly meetings

\xe2\x97\x8f Be accountable for ensuring that the management team are regularly updated on progress of the event.

\xe2\x97\x8f Provide feedback and counsel event managers staff to meet quotas/objectives

\xe2\x97\x8f Working with Management to adapt strategy with objectives continuously improving on SOPs where necessary.

\xe2\x97\x8f Drive team synergy and positive team spirit to ensure your team feels supported.

\xe2\x97\x8f Delegate responsibly and ensure all team members are benefiting from your time, and exposure to different projects to increase their skill set.

\xe2\x97\x8f Managing internal resources to ensure that the workload is shared evenly across the team and all conflict is dealt with in a positive manner with minimum fuss.

Requirements

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience with organising events up to 2000+ attendance

\xe2\x97\x8f At least 8 years in the Event Management Industry in Singapore and SEA with a particular focus in Travel across SEA

\xe2\x97\x8f Comprehensive knowledge of the B2B Event management industry - supplier and vendor network across the region is beneficial

\xe2\x97\x8f Confident and positive attitude this is a client facing role that needs a happy, enthusiastic and professional person who understands how to liaise and present themselves in front of clients and suppliers within a working environment.

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent organiser with strong project management skills must have experience in managing multiple events at any one time with the ability to multitask and prioritise based upon the event requirements.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to understand client objectives and interpret them to develop an integrated event strategy (including good listening and questioning skills)

\xe2\x97\x8f Managing the clients and colleagues expectations accurately with the ability to meet agreed deadlines.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience managing a wider team on site at an event, with the ability to troubleshoot on site at events before anyone else, react accordingly and provide solutions to the internal team, external suppliers and clients alike.

\xe2\x97\x8f Immaculate attention to detail & writing skills can input information quickly, accurately and thoroughly. Comfortable with proofreading and basic copywriting

\xe2\x97\x8f Team player - happy to take instructions but also work independently and proactively when required.

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent experience in working with spreadsheets and creating proposals and presentations in PowerPoint is a must.

\xe2\x97\x8f Comfortable working under pressure in a dynamic & multicultural startup environment.
