Position Summary
The Project Director is responsible for leading, planning, and executing large-scale building construction projects from inception to completion. This role oversees project strategy, resources, budgeting, stakeholder communication, timelines, safety compliance, and quality standards to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all construction project phases.
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation frameworks.
Monitor project progress and performance against milestones and KPIs.
Project Execution & Management
Oversee day-to-day project operations and ensure timely completion.
Manage design coordination, tendering, procurement, and site mobilization.
Review and approve project budgets, BOQs, contracts, and variations.
Ensure adherence to building regulations, codes, and company standards.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
Lead and manage cross-functional teams (engineers, architects, consultants, contractors).
Conduct project meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Maintain strong communication channels with clients and stakeholders.
Cost & Resource Management
Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost control measures.
Approve procurement requests and evaluate quotations/contracts.
Analyze project risks and implement corrective measures.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and risk management protocols.
Implement quality control procedures and construction best practices.
Conduct periodic site inspections and audits.
Reporting & Documentation
Provide progress reports, forecasts, and executive briefs to upper management.
Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture (Master's Preferred).
5+ years experience in building construction, with 5+ years in senior project management.
Proven experience delivering large-scale residential / commercial / industrial projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts (e.g., FIDIC), and safety standards.
