Role Summary: The General Manager, Property Development will be responsible to manage a development team to execute the planning, design, procurement and construction of development projects in Singapore, Indonesia and China. The General Manager will report to the Head of Real Estate.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the investment and asset management teams in the acquisition and development of projects
• As a resource for the wider groups\xe2\x80\x99 development needs
• To carry out the planning, design, procurement and construction of the development projects
• To procure and manage external consultants for the developments
• Coordinating staff and internal resources, and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Review consultants\' design and to ensure design is adequate, cost effective and complies with Authorities\' requirement
• Liaison with Consultants and relevant authorities for approval
• To ensure the works are completed in compliance with drawings, specifications, quality and Authorities\' requirements
• Plan and coordinate design development, project schedules and budgets to ensure that work is progressing as planned
• To research, shortlist and present options for developments to senior management / shareholders
• To prepare reports as required
• To manage good relations with JV partners, consultants, contractors and suppliers
• To ensure that procurement procedures are adhered to strictly

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

• A degree in Architecture or Engineering
• Experience in Office, Retail, Hotel and Logistics developments preferred
• At least 15 years of working experience in a similar role
• Strong leadership capability and good people management
• Ability to work independently and as a team member of the real estate group
• Strong network of consultants and contractors
• Proven track record managing real estate projects in Singapore and China is a must; some exposure to the Indonesian real estate domain preferred
• Understands the sustainability standards and green building designs
• A mind set for time, quality and cost
• Proficient with the forms of contracts
• Willingness to travel
