SUMMARY

The Project Engineer will manage, monitor, and/or assist in the testing, calibration, or deployment of solutions for all of the Singapore Innovation Hub\'s projects under the direction of the assigned Project Manager. In this position, you will work with both internal and external stakeholders, to commission several Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives, while following safety practices and city/country codes to meet high-quality standards. This person will work under minimal supervision and interface with the Project Manager-in-charge to achieve the Innovation Hub\xe2\x80\x99s goal of on-time delivery and superior products.

As part of this responsibility, this role requires a high level of organization, creativity, attention to detail, and engineering knowledge to execute projects and discuss changes in design and method of manufacture & assembly procedures with the wider Collins team and coordinate project rollouts for both Automation & Robotics and/or Digitalization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in a portfolio of projects of either Automation & Robotics or Digital Teams to ensure projects are on time, on budget, and meet performance requirements.

• Execute implementation work assignments to apt standards and quality systems.

• Report progress and technical problems to the project manager.

• Develop cross discipline experience and enhance knowledge through working with other engineers and technicians to identify continuous improvement of existing products and regularly contribute to the failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS).
• Build, calibrate, and repair various industrial machinery & equipment or testing instruments.
• Installation and troubleshooting with minimal additional support on-site, by executing project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test runs and meet safety regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High logical-thinking skills to isolate and then identify problems for the team to work on and good reasoning skills to identify and fix problems
• Above-average mechanical or electrical skills to use hand tools with good dexterity for possible on-site installation and commissioning when required
• Good observational skills to ensure that designs and project plans are being carried out correctly
• Strict attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and Project Management Tools is a plus
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work well under pressure and to remain flexible with changing schedules (time zones) and demands.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience

Diploma/Higher NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or its equivalent with at least 2 years of experience; familiar with standard and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within this particular field; experience in aerospace, industrial automation, controls integration, or software development a plus
