About the Roles

We are looking for a

Project Engineer (Civil / Roadwork)

to join a construction company specializing in roads and railways. This is a

permanent role

based in

Kovan

, with working hours from

Monday to Saturday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

(no Saturday work required if there is no ongoing project). The position offers a

basic salary, handphone allowance, and variable bonus

What You'll Be Doing

Assist the Project Manager with planning, coordination, and execution of roadwork projects. Supervise site operations, including pavement works, road construction, drainage, and utility diversions. Ensure all site activities comply with LTA and other relevant authority requirements, including traffic management. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives to support smooth project delivery. Review drawings, technical submissions, and method statements for accuracy and compliance. Monitor project progress, quality, and costs to meet deadlines and specifications. Prepare reports, maintain site documentation, and facilitate inspections by authorities. Carry out other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the department head.

What We're Looking For

Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. Prior experience in roadwork projects; exposure to LTA projects will be advantageous. Solid knowledge of road construction methods, traffic management, drainage, and utility coordination. Good understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, and safety compliance. Familiarity with local authority submission processes will be an added benefit.
