About the Roles

We are looking for a

Project Engineer (Civil / Roadwork)

to join a reputable

construction company specializing in roads and railways

, based in

Kovan

. This is a

permanent position

offering a

competitive package with a basic salary, handphone allowance, and variable bonus

. The role follows a

Monday to Saturday schedule (8:30am-5:30pm)

, with

no Saturday work required when there are no active projects

. You will be responsible for supporting project execution, site supervision, and ensuring work quality and compliance with authority standards.

What You'll Be Doing

Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing civil and roadwork projects. Oversee daily site operations, including road construction, pavement, drainage, and utilities diversion activities. Ensure all work complies with

LTA and relevant authority standards

, including traffic management requirements. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project coordination and progress. Review and verify drawings, technical submissions, and method statements for accuracy and compliance. Track project progress, costs, and quality to ensure on-time and within-spec completion. Prepare and update progress reports, maintain proper project documentation, and assist during site inspections. Carry out additional tasks assigned by the department head as needed.

What We're Looking For

Degree in

Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering

, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience in

roadwork projects

; prior

LTA project experience

will be advantageous. Strong understanding of

road construction methods, traffic management, drainage systems, and utilities coordination

. Good knowledge of

construction methodologies, project scheduling

, and

safety regulations

. Familiarity with

local authority submission processes

is a plus. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively with diverse project teams.
