Ensure implementation and reliable operations of digital technologies to optimize and enhance efficiency and sustainability of production processes on site in close coordination with AN\'s global Smart Operations group.
Provide process and application expertise, which combines experience in process engineering, technical applications of Smart Operations with knowledge of plant requirements.
Use sound engineering judgment, creativity and foresight to initiate and to execute studies, projects and new developments, as well as to anticipate and solve problems with a focus on long term technical solutions in the area of Smart Operations.
Monitor existing Smart Operations applications with the help of dashboards and other visualization tools to ensure good performance and high utilization. In case of deviations ensure that corrective measures are immediately taken
Ensure training on, maintenance and continuous improvement of existing Smart Operations applications
Close cooperation with production and other departments like research and development, applied technology and site management, providing initial development work, define scope for projects, as well as prepare time schedules, cost estimates and business cases for realization approval, as well as piloting and evaluating new technologies and tools in the field of Smart Operations.
Manage projects and technical changes according to the relevant guidelines
Support for the execution of MOC (Management of Change) and other internal processes related to Smart Operation topics, including preparation and revision of basic process documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs, and application documentation, as well as technical changes. If part of the duties requires work in Methionine plant, he/she ensures that all FAMI QS requirement are met at all times in his/her area of responsibility.
Provide exchange of information and establish relationships with other AN sites and global Smart Operations group
Requirements
Bachelors / Masters in Chemical or Automation Engineering required
Min 5 years experience in chemical production or chemical project engineering
Good understanding of chemical processes and related equipment required, Methionine and Intermediates preferred
Aptitude towards computer programs and engineering tools, familiarity with advanced digital tools (ML, APC) preferred
Ability to manage internal and external project team members
Experience in project engineering and execution in related industry preferred
Organizational skills to plan and schedule
Conduct research and analysis of data without supervision while providing technical guidance as needed in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer and market conditions that enables maximum return on investments.
Cost awareness and basic understanding of accounting principles
Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge and skills to independently manage and apply safe systems of work while providing guidance and training to others
