Responsibilities:

Projects

The ILS Manager is responsible for managing the following ILS activities for allocated Project within the scope of the relevant contract:

  • ILS WP deliverables and budget,
  • Performing and/or managing relevant (low level) Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities (eg LORA, FMEA, Spare Parts Dimensioning, Training Needs Analysis, etc.)
  • Management of support inventory procurement and distribution,
  • Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) requirements determination, along with management of procurement, and distribution of same,
  • Technical documentation development and distribution,
  • High level management of technical training development and delivery,
  • Maintenance planning; and
  • Relevant logistics and subcontractor co-ordination.
  • The development and management of warranty support & repair claims up to the end of the Project, including maintenance support phase.
  • The preparation and maintenance of project ILS plans, technical data/documentation plans, technical data lists, training plans, maintenance / warranty support plans, and maintenance procedures.
  • Preparation and maintenance of the project\xe2\x80\x99s technical and operational training plans.
  • Development, implementation, and management of both project and standardized technical training courses.
  • Performing or managing Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) modelling and calculations for project sub-systems and systems as required.
  • Managing obsolescence of supported components pro-actively, including identification and validation of form, fit and function replacements.
Bids

The ILS Manager is responsible for managing the following ILS activities for bids.
  • Performing relevant Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities.
  • Development and delivery of required tender response documents related to ILS.
  • Development, delivery, and approval of ILS segment cost estimates for tender response.
  • Development of ILS subcontractor requirements and cost estimates for tender response.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Systems Engineering or Logistics Support Engineering, or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the Customer Services Manager
  • Formal undergraduate or postgraduate training in Integrated Logistic Support, or experience worthy of qualification recognition
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an Integrated Logistic Support Management, Engineering and/or Analyst or allied role.
  • Experience working as part of a team in technology-based projects.
  • Experience in managing small to medium multidisciplinary matrix teams of staff.
  • Exposure to working within projects with aggressive milestones.
  • Experience working in an ILS management role, leading a team in a sizeable and complex IT related project.
  • Staff management of multidisciplinary teams in sizeable and complex IT related project to aggressive project deadlines
  • Experience working in a team across geographies and time zones
  • Highly self-reliant and resourceful.
