Job Description

Job Purpose

• Primary responsibility to oversee the RTS Link Project for OpCO scope of works for Telecommunications / ISCS Sub-Systems from design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, T&C until handover
• Working in close partnership with RTSO JV Partner Prasarana for the entire project delivery
• Support Bids activities for SMRT / Strides International

Responsibilities

• Manage internal and external interfaces to the communications systems and develop the project in line with the customer requirements
• Manage the sub-contractor to ensure that their design in compliance with the requirements defined by the engineer
• Responsible support for schedule-driven deliverable documentation such as Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, test procedures and requirements documents. Discussions with customer about the final solution.
• Identify and manage project scope changes and provide change management tracking and support

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Bachelor\'s / Master\'s Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Communications Engineering with a minimum of 5-7 years work experience in a railway environment
• The candidate will work on a wide range of sub-systems and interfaces in a predominant Communications and Controls field.
• Should be able to demonstrate ability to contribute to projects that involve a range of technologies and a variety of assets, fromgreenfield to brownfield environment.
• Design, manufacturing, installation, test and commissioning of Telecommunications systems such as Radio, PA/PIS, Backbone Systems, CCTV, Cybersecurity, Telephony, IT Systems etc. with involvement in the complete design lifecycle
• Design, manufacturing, installation, test and commissioning of Integrated Supervisory Control Systems (ISCS), Decision Support Systems, Maintenance Management Systems, Power SCADA, OCC, C3 applications etc. with involvement in the complete design lifecycle
• Experience in Project Management, Systems Engineering, Interface Design and O&M with focus on Design for Maintainability and Built-in Safety
• Liaison with Government Agencies, and key stakeholders
• Bids preparation and submissions
• Proven track record in delivering rail infrastructure projects will be an advantage

A Lead Telecommunications/ISCS Engineer responsible for providing oversight of Telecoms/ISCS Systems Designs and guiding the design process and upto site implementation

Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Superior verbal/written communications skills for effective interfacing with non-specialist technical team members (domestic and international) with internal and external stakeholders
