You will join the Applications team and be primarily responsible for Data & Analytics projects delivery related to data lake, data warehouse, visual analytics and advanced analytics. You will need to work closely with the user community, IT teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
Project Management

• Accountable for the overall successful delivery of projects.
• Oversees the delivery of projects to ensure that targets are met. This includes, amongst others, conducting user requirement analysis, participating in solution design, planning and executing testing, deploying solution to \xe2\x80\x98live\xe2\x80\x99 etc.
• Creates and/or reviews project artefacts and deliverables to ensure quality and NUS guidelines and polices are met.
• Manages procurement, including amongst others, preparation and publishing tender specifications, evaluating and recommending potential solutions and/or vendors, contract management etc.
• Liaises closely with business users and builds good rapport.
• Liaises closely with vendors to ensure successful delivery of products and/or services in accordance to contract.
• Manages project team to ensure optimization of manpower resources and timely project delivery.

Maintenance and Support

• Accountable for the overall successful provision of on-going application maintenance and support to ensure SLAs are met.
• Oversees and/or provides maintenance and support of applications, including amongst others, delivery of enhancements and bug fixes, managing service requests, troubleshooting of problems etc.
• Creates, updates and/or reviews systems artefacts and deliverables to ensure quality and NUS guidelines and polices are met.
• Performs systems and data analysis including analysing existing system/program logic difficulties,and revising the logic and procedures as necessary.
• Handles audit queries,and ensures audit and security compliance are met.
• Liaises closely with business users and build good rapport
• Work closely with business users in annual IT project planning and enhancement prioritization.
• Liaise closely with vendors to ensure successful provision of support and maintenance in accordance to contract.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics or equivalent.
• At least 10 years within IT industry, inclusive of 3+ years in data & analytics technical role, and 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in project management.
• Must have experience in data warehouse and BI implementation.
• Good knowledge in data management principles, processes, techniques and best practices.
• Good skills in basic SQL and familiar with data profiling and validation techniques.
• Solid skills in visual analytics know-how with hands-on experience in data visualization tools preferably Power BI.
• Strong business process and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information thoroughly and quickly, and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely. The ability to understand the business questions that users are trying to answer and translate them into data and/or analytics requirements is essential.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, users and vendors.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Must be a good team player, proactive in nature, inquisitive, fast learner, highly organized and positive attitude.
• Certification in PMP or CITPM will be an added advantage.
• Experience in big data, cloud and/or advanced analytics is a bonus.
