We are hiring for a globally recognised banking powerhouse, looking for a Project Manager to lead their Audit and Finance projects. This will be a 1 year direct contract with my client.

Objectives:

• Promote and enforce the application of the Group\'s Accounting Control Framework to achieve compliance with accounting and financial information requirements and regulations for the Singapore entities
• Performance of 1st and 2nd level accounting controls and monitoring of the results and findings
• Independent challenge of accounting controls;
• Follow up of action plans including Inspection G\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rale and external auditor\'s recommendation related to accounting risks
• Drives proper application of Group\'s accounting principles and local/international accounting/financial requirements through regular communication with business and functions as part of managing accounting and financial information related risks
• Supports Finance management in the transformation initiatives implementation which includes working in close collaboration with the regional project teams

Accounting controls:

• Proficient in accounting/financial (e.g. IFRS, SFRS, IAS) and regulatory (e.g. MAS) requirements
• Perform accounting controls and is accountable for their results
• Demonstrate understanding and monitor results and findings to ensure operational robustness, data integrity and quality of accounting controls
• Support local Finance in the standardization and resolution of financial accounting & reporting issues in accordance with Group and Regional Finance\'s guidelines
• Coordinate and ensure data quality of accounting and financial information within Finance to enable timely production of local regulatory reporting and Head Office reporting
• Maintains proper and clear documentation of the accounting controls procedures and results, including the updating of standard operating procedures
• Coordinate and supervise the deliverables of Nearshore team to ensure and provide for points above, including providing constructive feedback on quality and knowledge
• Preparation and/or presentation of accounting and finance related materials for committee meetings
• Coordinate and support Inspection G\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rale and external auditor\'s information requests, including follow up of their recommendations

Accounting advisory and support

• Support SG Finance for a smooth month/quarter/year-end closing process, including adopting proactive stance on issues identification and resolution
• Provide assistance and advisory support to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders on accounting/finance related matters

Transformation and change management

• Lead and/or contribute to transformation and efficiencies initiatives in organization, systems, accounting/regulatory changes or continuous improvements initiatives with both finance and non-Finance stakeholders

Project management

• Lead and/or contribute as Finance SPOC in the local, Regional and/or Global financial reporting and/or system related projects and initiatives that has a transversal impact on Singapore Finance, which includes preparation of materials to articulate accounting and financial related matters during meetings
