]About the role

The (Fixed Income & Currencies Markets Operations) Projects team is responsible for a multitude of projects spanning the below areas for the Fixed Income & Currencies business lines.

  • Global strategic business-driven initiatives
  • New products or new business initiative
  • Industry initiatives
  • Operational efficiency
  • Intelligent automation initiatives
The role will require strong partnership with numerous teams such as FO (Trading, Sales, and business management), Legal, Compliance, Middle Office, Back Office and global project management teams on a regular basis so effective communication and broad knowledge of Operation flow is preferable. Successful candidates will be expected to lead key changes for the business and can manage multiple projects and be able to leverage and apply their experience effectively

Key responsibilities:

The portfolio of work will consist of projects of various sizes from tactical solutions to strategic programs. Core responsibilities include:
  • Drive and support strategic operational and business initiatives focusing on new business development, new product expansion, operational efficiency initiatives and regulatory agenda
  • Provide governance and program structure including regular updates at all levels following the project life cycle
  • Plan, manage, delegate, communicate and monitor projects in all stages from initiation through to completion
  • Develop and maintain strong partnership, collaboration and engagement with stakeholders
  • Analyze and define solutions against strategic objectives, requirements and work prioritization
  • Manage and lead projects against agreed scope, time, cost/resource constraints with an agile mindset
  • Create and maintain necessary project documentation including business cases, project plans, presentations and other necessary documentation
  • Test management and coordination
Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in either of the following is required:
  • End to end project management /change management in the financial services industry OR
  • Prior experience in Markets Operations (Markets, FX, Fixed Income etc.)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills including project initiation, control and governance, tracking and best practices
  • Ability to deliver information to senior management/stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multi projects
  • Identify and develop opportunities to partner on strategic programs to deliver change
  • Ability to face off stakeholders and manage their expectations
  • Understanding of FICC business and derivatives settlement knowledge would be an advantage
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • A self-motivated individual, able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Strong MS office skills including excel, powerpoint, word, visio will be an advantage
  • We're a global company whose primary business language is English and so fluency in spoken and written English is required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
