Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Digital Transformation Project Manager in IBM, You will

• Be responsible for successful delivery of IBM's largest and System Integration and Migration / Modernization client commitments.
• Manage client engagements, ensuring delivery of solutions for complex IT, business and client requirements.
• Responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the client with overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
• Be responsible for managing all project resources, including delivery resources, vendors and subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client. They provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the client.
• Manages the project work plan and holds the team and project resources accountable to variances in budget and hours.
• Possess thorough understanding of estimation, letters of agreement, master service agreements, staffing model, average bill rates and cost structure by level.
• Oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.
• Ensures requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards. Develops alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Have a minimum 8 years working in digital transformation projects with solid domain knowledge within one or more full end to end transformation cycles. (Public Sector preferred)
• Experience of business/technology or digital change, ideally across the end-to-end change lifecycle Experience in managing custom application development projects
• Strong experience in charge of the start to finish delivery of projects
• Accountable for delivery of projects of a high quality, within the budget and agreed timeline
• Plan and manage project scope, schedules and resources on the project
• Identify, assess and manage the risks of the project and take appropriate actions
• Effectively manage the diverse team of stake holders
  

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• A solid understanding of Agile development practices and forums (e.g. Scrum, Sprint delivery, backlog management)
• Proven stakeholder management experience, particularly between PO, Business, Architects, Scrum Masters and other teams
• Expertise in using JIRA across the software development lifecycle
• Experience in working with combined on-, near- or offshore technology delivery teams
• Experience in working on digital or analytics projects
• Familiar with the typical technology stack in financial services, and able to interpret a high-level solution architecture
• Familiar with the roles of a Product Owner, Business Analyst and Scrum Master
• Experience with Cloud Migration Services, Application Modernization, Hybrid Cloud Service Management,
• Strong experience managing integrated test and QA projects
• Strong communication, analytical skills and a customer service orientation
• Extensive project management experience and proven skill to ensure that project objectives and goals are met within agreed upon time, scope, resource, budget and quality requirements
• Supports the financial performance of assigned business areas.
• Report and communicate project successes, risks, and status to leadership and stakeholders
• Enforces compliance of project management methodology and deliverables
• Experience directing the work of others and coordinate diverse cross functional teams
