Job Description

Are you super organised, 100% dependable and looking for a new challenge in 2023? Black Dog Consultants are a leading provider of corporate training, facilitation and executive coaching services in the Asia Pacific region. Due to rapid expansion in 2022, we are looking for someone to join our busy Client Solutions team as a Project Ninja (junior level) . Known for their speed, cunning and ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations, ninjas are critical in a fast-paced business like ours. Alongside your nunchucks, you must be able to seamlessly juggle multiple projects at once, without letting a single ball drop to the floor. Day to day, this means you will get involved in many of our key client relationships, projects and proposals and help us manage the multiple deadlines and tasks we need to deliver on. We are not a big company with a traditional, sometimes siloed environment. We are dynamic, agile and nimble and have been market leaders in Asia for the last 14 years. As such, this role is most likely going to suit a bright, self-starter who thrives in this type of fast-paced, often unstructured, environment.

Here are some elements critical to the role:
  • Youll work in and across the Client Solutions team to help us manage our client relationships and key projects. Right from the off, youll be involved with the biggest clients we have and within a short space of time, you can expect to be managing your own relationships and pieces of business
  • To get you up to speed with what we do, youll attend some of the training that we run and both face-to-face meetings and video calls alongside your colleagues, listening, learning and updating project plans to send out to clients which capture important decisions and actions to be taken
  • Youll then be accountable for keeping those actions on track, calling clients, suppliers or our faculty of facilitators and trainers when things need following up, or discussing further
  • Youll be responsible for scheduling all our learning solutions with clients, which involves booking our faculty and ensuring their logistics are taken care of (venues, resources and equipment)
  • Youll ensure the paperwork is in order - from the overall master services agreements to individual SOWs, POs and quotes - managing the critical interface between the clients procurement team, our client solutions team and our accounts department
  • You may handle learner registrations and associated internal programme management (including registering people for psychometric assessments or learning portals)
  • You will often be included in our virtual training programmes supporting the facilitator and learners and ensuring everything is running smoothly
  • You may also attend offsites, training sessions or conferences that we are involved in, handling logistics and the back of house functions we manage for the client on the day
  • Of critical importance is helping us ask for feedback on our work from both learners and clients, processing these insights into a report and sharing with both clients and our internal team alike (so we know how to improve our services for future)
  • Youll need to get to know the various bespoke tech platforms we use for our training and be keen to help us continuously improve how we use these platforms in our learning solutions - making suggestions to keep us at the top of our game.
About you: First and most critical, you are a completer-finisher who loves detail and seeing things through end-to-end. You take pride in being 100% reliable, never missing deadlines and having a keen eye for detail. However, given this is a high human-contact role, you are also fabulous with people (both your own team and our precious clients) and look to proactively solve problems in a friendly, efficient manner. Although the ideal applicant will be coming from a Learning, HR or Talent background, more important is your ability to demonstrate your experience in managing complex projects. If you dont have years of experience yet, thats fine by us - but your mindset to want to learn fast is critical.

The other stuff:
  • This role is based in Singapore and only open to people who have the right to live and work here.
  • Some travel to our Hong Kong office, or around the region meeting clients, may be required from time to time and this, of course, would be fully reimbursed when travelling for business.
  • We proudly work in a highly diverse work environment where English is our common language both internally and with our clients. Therefore, to ensure everybodys inclusion in our day-to-day conversations, we welcome applicants from any culture and mother tongue, however fluent spoken and written business English is ESSENTIAL.
  • We can support an element of flexible and/or hybrid working (work from anywhere), however given our high people contact and collaborative environment, wed prefer to hear from candidates who are happy to come into an office most of the time and who can perform most of their hours in our core business hours of 9am - 6pm (M-F), overlapping with the rest of the team (and our clients).
  • The role is full-time and based in our cool and funky shophouse in Tanjong Pagar. We all enjoy 20 days un-interrupted, paid holiday (plus a further 3 gifted days in between Christmas and New Year and all the SG bank holidays), CPF and other interesting benefits.
Please apply by sending BOTH a covering letter detailing why you believe you\'d be suitable for this role and your salary expectations, together with your CV, bio or other creative way of telling us about yourself. We want to know why you want to join us - you will need to have done your homework on us and prove to us why we should choose you.
