The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERIAN) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.

Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERIAN) distinguishes itself through research excellence directed towards outcomes of industry relevance, with focus on systems-level research for tropical megacities. The Institute integrates research across NTU in the context of the energy challenge, and then helps translate outcomes into industry and practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Novel ways of extracting metals using hydrometallurgy techniques and electrodialysis method
• Carry out optimization of the equipment and SOP of various processes for batteries metal extraction
• Synthesis and characterization of battery leachate and product after metal extraction
• Prototyping activities including proof of concept demonstration of successful processes
• Responsible for project goals, deliverables and objectives of the company project
• Preparing and delivering Meeting presentations, notes, updates, and reports as per the request of the project and company

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering /Science (Materials/Chemical/Mechanical/Nanotechnology/Physics/Chemistry or equivalent)
• Experience in extraction methods of metals from batteries
• Experience in prototyping of batteries and working with various battery systems.
• Widely experience in various materials synthesis techniques
• Experienced in materials characterization, electrochemical battery fabrication
• Ability to conceptualize and communicate research work to other staff, management, and visitors
• Knowledge of scientific or materials engineering software will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in the field of research is an added advantage
• An effective team player with good communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
