The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.

As a Data Science Project Officer, you will be one of the key members of our research projects. You will assist faculty and research teams with data analysis, model development, and management of research projects. If you have a background in computer science and education and a strong interest in medicine and data science, this position may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Data collection and analysis

Establishment of quantitative standards for doctors\xe2\x80\x99 clinical performance

Establishment of rules for doctor-patient matching algorithm

Assist in developing and maintaining systems

Dissemination of projects, including publishing in peer reviewed scientific journals and popular science publications and presentations

Participate in the writing of relevant research proposals for the application of funds

Ensure successful internal and external collaboration in a variety of modes, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, virtual meetings, and written communication

Communication with collaborators from hospitals, governments, etc.

Job Requirements:

Possess bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science with some expertise in generative AI and large language models from a recognized university

Preferably with relevant research experience and/or industrial background

Knowledge and experience in interdisciplinary areas would be an advantage: computer science + education + neuroscience

Team player with self-motivation and able to work independently

Strong interests in applied research and development work

Excellent written and spoken English

Good communication skills

Strong interest in data science and medical education fields
