Job Description

The Nanyang Technological University School of Materials Science and Engineering (NTU MSE) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced candidate to join us as part time Project Officer (PO). The PO will join in a cutting-edge interdisciplinary research project Israel \xe2\x80\x93 Singapore Urban Farm (iSURF), a joint project of NTU and Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The iSURF compu-farm is a leading plant phenotyping and sensing research facility set in a commercial urban farm in Singapore. iSURF conducts cutting-edge research in Plant Data Science, AI-based real-time precision agriculture and machine vision of hyperspectral data.

The part time PO will be responsible to coordinate daily Agriculture Technology (AgTech) research operation in the iSURF compu-farm located in Oasis Living Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate experiments and research facility operations

Coordinate logistic planning of the experiment conducted at the research facility

Coordinate resource and time planning to support the experiment conducted in the research facility

Manage Principal Investigators (PIs) and research team members day-to-day tasks organization and progress

Manage coordination between PIs and research team members.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in Engineering, Science, Project Management or related fields

Hands-on knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and Scrum.

Experience with relevant project management software platforms

Experience in managing and motivating a large international team of international researchers and engineers

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Excellent leadership skills

Experience in schedule and resource planning of complex multi-party projects in the public sector
