Job Scope
Deliver, develop, and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for major projects and
portfolio projects.
Produce schedule deliverable packages appropriate for the project stage gates (e.g., feasibility, FEED,
execution).
Align all stakeholders during the development of engineering, procurement, and construction schedules,
ensuring integration with construction management and overall project objectives.
Understand and define the list of plans required to execute assigned project sub-elements and their interfaces
to other sub-elements.
Develop activities, sequencing logic, resource plans, and progress measurement for assigned project
sub-elements, establishing and maintaining the baseline schedule.
Develop, implement, and comply with planning and progress monitoring procedures.
Conduct regular schedule progress updates, forecasts, critical path and trend analyses, and communicate
results for assigned elements, including the impact of interfaces.
Provide regular, comprehensive schedule status reports to project sub-element managers and stakeholders.
Assess and incorporate the impact of changes, deviations, and risks to key project milestones, monitor
productivity, and propose alternate approaches to optimize plans when necessary.
Liaise with and challenge engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure understanding of
key schedule sensitivities, risks, and drivers.
Develop contract key dates, milestones, and internal plan dates aligned with the overall program schedule.
Review and verify contractor-reported progress, ensuring it is accurately reflected in the integrated program
schedule.
Manage interfaces between contractor and company teams to maintain a reliable, integrated working
schedule and accurately report performance.
Perform schedule risk analysis using Primavera Risk Analysis or similar tools, identifying and mitigating
potential schedule delays.
Conduct schedule benchmarking and work with IPA forms and datasets to compare project performance
against industry standards and best practices
Requirements
Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Planning Engineer or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 years industry experience including Planning & scheduling positions.
Experience in Front-End Engineering and Execution.
Good working knowledge of Planning & Scheduling principles, techniques and industry scheduling tools.
Practical understanding of all phases of the project delivery process.
Core competencies - possess understanding of Planning & scheduling principles.
Development of project plan and schedule across the project phases.
Work Management Tools - Knowledge in the use of the Primavera, Primavera risk analysis, MS Project,
Acumen fuse.
Experienced in portfolio planning & scheduling, Advanced work package (AWP), 4D Planning.
