FUNCTION: PROTECTION FIELD OFFICERPlace of employment: DAVAO CITY (TRANSFER TO BUTUAN CITY BY SEPTEMBER 2022)The Protection Field Officer contributes to the implementation and monitoring of ICRC protection activities in the area of responsibility under the ICRC Butuan office. S/he works in line with the Protection Delegate, the ICRC team to respond to protection concerns arising from armed conflict in the specified areas, under the supervision of the Protection Team Leader.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Implements protection activities under the supervision of the Protection Team Leader; Contributes to the analysis of security, socioeconomic, cultural, and political environment relevant to the ICRC, shares relevant information with team members, and reports any change in the situation; Designs and implements protection responses and projects; Maintains and expands a network of key health interlocutors; Collects, compiles and interprets protection-related information; Analyzes and contributes to written internal reporting and activity programming; Develops and maintains contact with different stakeholders; Prepares, coordinates and reports on all aspects of field assignments; Supports the sub-delegation and other teams as deemed necessary; Contributes to the formulation of strategies and plans of action; Establishes and maintains contacts with various groups, including individual beneficiaries, humanitarian organizations and local authoritiesREQUIRED PROFILE University degree or equivalent in relevant field At least 3 years' experience in a similar field of activities Good command of written and spoken English, Filipino, Bisaya is a strong asset Good knowledge of the social, cultural, religious, and political environment of Caraga region Comprehensive and accurate analytical skills Skills for planning, organization, assessment, and program implementation High level of negotiation and social skills Flexibility to work several weeks in the field and travel to different areas Ability to take initiative and work both in a team and with autonomy in a multidisciplinary approach Awareness and respect of professional and institutional ethics, particularly with respect to confidentiality Knowledge and understanding of the contextual complexities (regarding local culture and prevailing conflict dynamics)Job Type: Full-timeSalary: Php39,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per monthBenefits:
