Job Description

Castlery is looking for a PR & Communications Specialist to secure and manage media coverage across US, AU and SG for the Castlery brand and products. In this role, you will secure media exposure with stories you develop yourself and through using content created by the wider Castlery team.ResponsibilitiesYour primary role will be in media relations. You\'ll have excellent writing skills and ideally come from a PR or journalism background. You will need to love speaking to the publications and media outlets, and be able to come up with interesting opportunities to position Castlery in the press:

• Work with wider marketing team to keep abreast of ongoing and upcoming campaigns, including seasonal / sales campaigns and product launches, and identify press-worthy angles to add to our PR strategy

• Have PR/journalism experience and knowledge of marketing and PR activities, which will allow you to:

• Sell the stories you write - through compelling press releases - via PR agencies and proactive outreach

• Identify key target media and build relationships with publications and journalists through proactive outreach

• Work with our PR agencies and hold them against a high standard to drive them to secure high-profile press coverage

• Identify strong PR coverage worth amplifying via other channels

• Draft talking points to be included in press releases, interview or media events.

• Plan and execute key events for press.

• Pay attention to trends in media and how we can tap on them for Castlery

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in PR or journalism

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by accuracy, proof reading and copy writing

• Organisational skills to enable you to work across the 3 markets we operate, as well as across multiple teams

• Have your finger on the pulse of seasonal moments, trending topics and current affairs to enable us to tap on these moments to drum up press coverage

• Be a self-starter who can work independently and proactively

• Know how to craft stories and speak with the media

• Be measured on your ability to deliver results, improve the quality and quantity of stories, as well as the levels of press coverage in the region
