Job Description

Assisting with sales of pulses procured by the company\xe2\x80\x99s sourcing operations in India, Canada, Australia and Myanmar with a specific focus in increasing sales turnover and profitability of the Singapore book.

Implementing industry best practices with regards to risk operations track, (m2m) monitoring, PnL tracking and AR monitoring of the desk. This includes tracking plant operations in the key procurement hubs of Canada and Australia.

Responsible for PnL, execution and AR recovery for your own trades.

Assisting with investment decisions with regards to the desk. This includes our plans to establish plants in milling and protein extraction.

Coordinating and gathering market intelligence in the desk to ensure that timely and relevant intelligence can be provided to assist with procurement and sales decisions. This includes coordinating with buyers and traders in India, Canada, Myanmar and Australia.

Help to maintain and analyse a regional physical Trading book.

Work closely with colleagues and external counter-parties to handle export / import data.

Travel to producing countries to maintain a network of clients and increase market information.

Support to senior traders in form of producing market reports and statistical market information.

Skills / Attributes required:

Have had 5-7 years of experience for Senior Trader and 3-5 years of experience for Junior Trader in Agri-commodities

Have either some sales, relationship management or procurement experience.

Have a strong numerical and economic background.

Flexibility to travel globally.

Need to be a good team player with impressive interpersonal skills.
