Purchasing Officer (Procurement) / Clementi

Working days: 5 days (Wednesday WFH)
WFO timing - Flexible working hours from 7am to 10am and 4.30pm to 7.30pm depending on what time the employee start work (To clock 42.5hours/week.)
WFH timing - 8.30am to 6pm
Salary: Up to $2900 (MAX)
Location: Pandan Road - Clementi MRT

Responsibilities

Source and obtain competitive quotations for materials
Execute orders according to purchasing guidelines
Expedite orders and monitor delivery status
Communicate with superintendents or ship repair manager for matters relating to requisitions
Negotiate term contracts/fixed price agreements/credit terms with suppliers
Involve in vendor management activities (New vendor pre-qualification, vendor site audit and annual evaluation etc)
Any other task assigned from time to time

Requirements

Purchasing experience in shipchandler, ship manager or shipyard
Resourceful with good knowledge of marine suppliers
Negotiations skills with suppliers (price, delivery, credit terms etc)
Analysis of quotations and make recommendations to requestors -
