Job Description


The QA/ R&D manager leads and initiates the development of food products and manages all quality activities relating to company products in the area of food safety, risk management and production quality. Functioning as a key member of the food safety team, this role has functional responsibility over relevant clauses related to food safety and driving IQA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing new recipes for food products, engaging the production and QA team in planning, trials and development, and the documenting of SOPs for proper product implementation and launch.
  • To oversee and manage the research and development of all existing and new products product concepts and recipes for the company.
  • Establish Quality objectives of the department aligned to top management goals and company directions.
  • Oversee in-coming, in-process, and outgoing product inspections.
  • Help in conducting root-cause analysis of customer complaint and offering quality assessments and possible solutions for future re-occurrence.
  • Maintain lab integrity through maintenance of quality standards through calibration of all measuring and test equipment in the laboratory and adequate assessment of vendors or partners.
  • Conducts audit and evaluation of quality assessment and qualification for all raw and packaging material suppliers (local & international).
  • Revise SOP for food quality and safety to fulfil SFA, Halal, ISO 22000 and BRC requirements.
  • Recommend systematic measures and initiatives to improve product quality
  • Manage a team of Food Technologists in R&D, QA & QC Department, and direct department goals and plans approved by Managing Director.
  • To collaborate with all departments, customer, suppliers and government regulatory bodies to ensure that quality is a high priority in the company
  • Prepare Monthly Quality Report for submission to Managing Director including progressive status updates on KPI, Performance, GMP, Internal & External Audit information; etcs.
Job Requirement:
  • Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 Degree in Food Science & Technology or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in related field
  • Able lead, guide and manage a small team with effective communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-versed with HACCP, HALAL, GMP and other food related regulations in Singapore
