Our client, founded & headquartered in Singapore, is a manufacturer and distributor of gourmet snacks..About position:They are looking for R&D Manager. This is a pivotal role within their organization\'s culinary team, focused on driving innovation and creating irresistible snack products that captivate consumers\' taste buds. This role involves conceptualizing, developing, and refining snack recipes that drive excitement, joy, and surprise in their customer\'s everyday interactions.Responsibilities and main duties:- Lead all development and optimization initiatives for innovative and renovative projects.- Responsible for new product development for their signature gourmet Asian snacks, canister crisps, and other product lineups.- Proactively design and establish new processes, new products and process controls.- Support the sourcing of new ingredients from reliable suppliers, compare the quality and cost advantage with the procurement department.- Set product specification and quality standard for the manufacture of new products.- Work with the operation team (production, engineering, quality assurance) on new process control and process improvement.- To conduct periodic product analysis, sensory evaluation, shelf-life test & optimization study when needed.- To improve existing product formula & processes.- Responsible on the product compliance with country regulation, brand values and consumer expectation.- Lead NPD processes from concept to commercialization including formulation development, shelf-life study, label development, Halal, FSSC 22000 management, etc.- Strong stakeholder management in managing cross-functional teams such as sales & marketing, manufacturing team, and external parties.- Support on shipping related issues i.e. technical aspects of the products.- Lead the trial run processes, troubleshooting and improvements in control settings.- Strong consumer insight, able to lead consumer acceptance surveys / studies.- Ensure product launching according to timeline and product brief.- Present innovation and technology NPD to customer to support business development.- Establish and execute development plans, build a superior team by retaining and growing talent. Identify learning opportunities and proactive coaching.- Develop and train the technical know-how on formulation and processes.- To participate in benchmarking and testing competitive produces to gain relevant information.- To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.Requirements- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the F&B industry- Candidate should possess an Advance Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree, Master\'s or equivalent in Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent.- Personal or professional experience working with food, cooking, and dish creation, and a strong willingness to take that culinary creativity to the workplace.- Strong culinary skills and creativity, with a passion for food innovation and experimentation.- Knowledge of food science principles, including flavor profiling, ingredient interactions, and cooking techniques.
