We are looking for a

QA Software Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As Etaily’s QA Software Engineer, you will own the end-to-end testing of all platforms and solutions assigned to your pillar (i.e. content management, fulfillment and logistics, marketing or data and analytics) to ensure product quality. In this role, you will design and implement tests, debug and define corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts). You will serve as the bridge between the business units / functional teams and our tech teams in determining business requirements and translating them into test plans / test cases to ensure the software runs smoothly and meets internal / external clients’ expectations and requirements.

The successful candidate must be able to roll-up his/her sleeves and work directly with project and development teams to implement solutions and solve challenging problems. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, highly analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills. You also love a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and maintain high energy levels in a constantly changing environment as you share our core values.

Job Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Evaluate different testing software and recommend an internal test software of choice balancing quality vs cost
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using our test software of choice
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Your profile

After earning your outstanding degree at a top university, you have gained work experience in a top-tier e-commerce player, consulting companies and/or in start-ups Moreover, you have a proven track record of personal, academic and professional achievements. Your knowledge of the internet and e-commerce sector in local/region is impressive as well as your high drive and ambition to perform. Independence, flexibility and speed are as important to you as geographical mobility and international experience. Entrepreneurial drive, sales attitude and the ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment complete your profile.

Key Qualifications

• 
  Minimum Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required (engineering or computer science)
• 
  Minimum 2 years of experience in software development and quality assurance preferably in eCommerce, Retail or Tech companies
• 
  Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes and tools
• 
  Hands-on experience with both white box and black testing
• 
  Hands-on experience with automated testing tools / scripts
• 
  Experience working in Agile / Scrum development process
• 
  Experience with performance and / or security testing is a plus
• 
  Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
