Responsibilities:
Ensure inspectors are using best practices. Focal point for inspection queries and scheduling of inspection activities. Ensures conformance of materials, purchased parts and manufactured parts in alignment with quality control plans, specifications, processes and standards.
Adds value by ensuring WCT products and services are delivered in compliance with customer expectations.


  • Liase with Engineering, Planning and Production, to facilitate smooth throughput.
  • API stamping. When required by Engineering post test validation.
  • Attending production meetings.
  • Ensuring production planning board is up to date from a department perspective.
  • Promoting best practices and continual improvement.
  • Ensuring inspectors are working with relevant work instructions, procedures.
  • Reviewing risk assessments with QHSE.
  • Attending risk assement meetings.
  • Completing of non scheduled urgent inspection tasks withing the completions business.
  • Support the QA\QC manager in the delegation and prioritisation of necessary non scheduled inspection activites i.e, In-process inspection, final inspection, hardness and NDE checking.
  • Able to perform JDE tasks required by inspectors.
  • Focal point within inspection for writing WPTS Non Conformance Reports for other departments.
  • Sourcing and issuing of drawings to inspectors with doc packs for smoother throughput.
  • Able to cover responsibilities and tasks for goods-in.
  • Unboxing, unwrapping and preparing of items for inspection.
  • Support the development, maintenance and updating of inspection programs in alignment with manufacturing schedules and priorities.
  • Understand quality control plan expectations associated with inspection program activities.
  • Execute in process and/or final inspection of materials, purchased parts and manufactured parts to ensure conformance with quality control plan, procedures, documentation and standards.
  • Review and ensure manufacturing work orders and associated documentation is completed and processed correctly in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and ensure callibration of equipment, work areas are kept clean and appropriate PPE and best practice lifting practices are adhered to at all times.
  • Prioritise inspection activities in alignment with delivery objectives.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ year’s relevant industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001/API Q1 Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of associated customer quality expectations and the cost of quality irregularity.
  • Experience in manufacturing workshop processes and controls.
  • Competent is reading and understanding engineering drawings, processes and procedures.
  • Competent in the use of a wide range of manufacturing quality control equipment and techniques.
  • Experience in statutory regulations associated with WCT sub product lines.
  • Proven ability to operate and deliver unsupervised.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good coordination and organizational skills.
