Job Description


JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develops and implements company and regulatory quality standards in the manufacturing facility.
  • Develops, implements, revises and maintains quality standards, tools and methods for processing materials into finished products.
  • Designs and implements quality control processes and procedures. Recommends revision of specifications when indicated.
  • Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures.
  • Works with product group organization to design the lowest cost, highest efficiency and highest quality products.
  • Drives quality improvement and cost reduction using Six Sigma or Lean methodology.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Undertake plant investigations.
  • Monitor CAPA and perform trending.
  • Review and approve change controls and protocols.
  • General knowledge of procedures and activities within own work area.
  • Focused on learning the key aspects and duties of the job being performed.
  • Applies research, information gathering and analytical skills.
  • Handles detailed, structured problems.
  • Works on assignments where judgment is required a majority of the time.
  • Works under general direction, seeks assistance as needed.
  • Works with team to support achievement of project milestones and deliver on internal and/ or external commitments.
  • When assigned to a customer team, supports small project teams or specific components of a customer engagement.
  • Contributes to own team/closely related teams through quality and accuracy of own work.
  • Conveys information in a concise and professional manner.
  • Asks effective questions and solicits feedback to understand needs.
  • Anticipates future needs based on past transactions.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Project management skills or experience in project management is essential.
  • Team player with initiative, drive, good communication skills and a strong command of written English.
  • Proven problem-solving capability, customer focus and commitment to continuous.
  • Good practical knowledge of GMP in food/ pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Good report writing skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science or related discipline or Diploma with minimum 1 to 3 years of experience.
